Energy Conservation
TTI Environmental has installed solar panels on their building in efforts
to "go green" and is the first commercial solar project in Moorestown.
Based on the size of the 50 kilowatt system there is an environmental impact
eliminating approximately 900 tons of carbon dioxide lessening its impact to global
warming, eliminating approximately 9,000 lbs of sulfur dioxide with is the main cause
of acid rain, and eliminating approximately 2,500 lbs nitrogen oxide which is the
major contributor to smog. (Source is EPA and eGRID.)
The building's solar array accounts for 85% of total in-house electricity use
which takes immediate pressure off of the grid along with electricity being provided
by renewable resource.
